The new consultant will work closely with a Director, moving quickly to manage their own projects and relationships. They’ll act independently and take on a range of responsibilities including undertaking research, data analysis, client interviews, leading client meetings, running workshops and developing final presentations.
The role demands an appetite and skill to sell projects and bring in new work. The new consultant will be expected to make contribute to revenue streams within a year – and will be rewarded accordingly. And they’ll have the ambition to make Director within 2-4 years – earnings and equity share will reflect this.
Forward Thinking Inc’s preferred new consultant will look like this:
• around five years in strategy consultancy or an in-house strategy team
• enthusiasm for selling
• able to synthesise complex and conflicting information and translate into meaningful insights
• numerate and able to write well
The firm’s working model offers a good work-life balance. Whilst they do visit client sites, the majority of consultants’ time is spent in the Richmond office, an inspiring working environment close to the River Thames.
