The core work of this group is delivering human capital and change management interventions to support the strategic, operational and transformation requirements of our clients. We work across all industries and at all levels of the organisation. Booz & Company has a unique track record in delivering such support, and is now seeking to expand its team to meet growing demand. Responsibilities and Key Tasks:
Associates will work across a variety of industries and in both public and private sectors. They will be expected to:
- Design and implement extensive change management / human capital programmes, using proven models & frameworks to develop and implement strategies for organisational change
- Lead change management or human capital activity within a workstream, often within larger transformation programmes, with responsibility for planning, organising, and driving execution of key deliverables, potentially guiding and directing junior team members
- Conduct or facilitate executive and team workshops
- Manage day to day work and client interface in order to set expectations and establish and meets goals and deadlines
- Work in multi disciplinary teams, transferring skills and expertise to colleagues and clients
- Develop key hypotheses and ideas; collecting required data collection, structuring analyses and presenting complex arguments in a clear and compelling manner
- Work closely with client team members to generate practical solutions, build trust and ensure clients assume the ownership required for successful implementation of business change
- Develop long-term relationships with existing clients at executive and senior management levels.
- Support new business development activities
Required experience and skills
Applicants should possess:
- A minimum of 3-6 years of relevant work experience in a consulting environment (i.e. strategy, boutique or Big 4 consulting firm, or in an internal consulting capacity using leading edge practices) showing progressive advancement and a record of achievement
- Expertise in Change Management, plus at least one of the following areas;
- Human Capital Management
- Organisation Design
- Leadership
- Broad experience of managing client teams through all project lifecycle phases: strategic assessment, design and implementation
- Experience in working in a variety of industries, including at least two of the following: consumer and retail, telecommunications, energy, financial services, public sector.
- An exemplary track record in providing customer satisfaction
- The ability to swiftly gain credibility and show executive presence
- An undergraduate degree from a leading institution
- An advanced qualification, from a leading institution, ideally in a related discipline e.g. Organisational Psychology, to Masters or PhD level
Required Competencies
Successful candidates will be able to:
- Take a structured approach to understand the impact of change or human capital requirements, diagnose change management or human capital issues, and create tailored change management or human capital approaches and interventions
- Develop a clear, comprehensive framework for delivering change and human capital interventions
- Understand the interplay between different interventions, and use this to consider sequencing and timing
- Take a structured approach to measuring impact and achievement of objectives
- Design and facilitate group sessions, including utilising a structured workshop design methodology, tailoring approaches to different audiences, and applying a range of facilitation styles
- Employ a range of interpersonal styles to build relationships and influence individuals to facilitate achievement of a desired outcome
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management (internal and clients)
- Work independently to manage day to day work and the client interface
- Exhibit leadership behaviour, demonstrating an impact with staff and clients
- Develop subject matter intellectual capital

This role is based in our London office, however teams often work at the client site. Travel can be significant.
