We are currently working with one of the largest Management Consulting firms in the world for various offices in the UK.
There are over 30 vacancies ranging from Data Analytics/Modellers at all grades from Director to senior analyst, Hyperion Consultants, Cognos Planning Consultants, Business Intelligence Consultants, Solution Architects, Data Warehousing and Sales Directors for Analytics.
The Data Analytics roles require individuals with any industry experience and skills in any of the following - Advanced MS Excel, MS Access, SAS, SQL, VB/VBA, ETL tools or technical expertise in an information management discipline. Roles cover Risk, Basel II, Banking, M&A, Decision Sciences, Customer/Marketing, Insurance and all other Industry Sectors. The Director level roles require individuals who will also assist in the growth and development of the service line within various industry sectors and maintain deal focused relationships with clients and partners to scope, propose, close, and deliver projects. These roles will participate in pre-sales activities, assessments, and the delivery of the solution.
The current Business Analytics and Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing Group sits across 6 Industry Sectors - Financial Services, Telecoms, Public Sector, Chemicals/Oil/Gas, Aerospace/Defence, and Manufacturing/Automotive/Electronics and there are 5 Capability Groups or sub-service lines that form the horizontals
1. Group Strategy – helping organisations determine how they differentiate themselves and deliver their strategy through the optimal use of data and analytics; typically include the development of a roadmap to deliver this strategy
2. Advanced Analytics – taking a strategic approach to deliver analytics that will create value or help with strategy planning. These will often be very industry specific e.g. optimizing the rollout of smart meters in Energy & Utilities or Fraud Prevention within Government. Other examples include Business Case development, Pricing optimisation, Systems Thinking, KPI identification and definition, Internet Behaviour analysis, Project appraisals and a broad range of Operational Research approaches
3.Business Intelligence and Performance Management – advising organisation on which KPIs, BI and reporting they should focus on and then delivering this through a reporting and analysis tool such as Cognos, Hyperion or Business Objects. This includes Cognos planning and report development.
4.Enterprise Information Management – helping organisations to develop robust information infrastructures including data warehousing, ETL, data marts, logical and physical design, structured and unstructured data, master data management, data governance etc
5.Enterprise Content Analytics – the growth of unstructured data provides new opportunities for organisations e.g. extracting learning from call centre logs, internet forums, social networks. Applications are as diverse as supporting the introduction of new products and services propositions, business operations (e.g. churn) and security and intelligence analysis
