Business Intelligence Consultants - London & UK Wide. £40K TO £120K Base + Bonus + Benefits.
My client is a leading IT and business services company, employing thousands of people across more than 30 countries. They provide business consulting, systems integration, and IT and business process outsourcing services. The Management Consultancy practice provides objective advice, expertise and specialist skills in order to create value or improve business performance for clients. They also help match IT service offerings and capability to business needs, and thus operate in conjunction with all parts of my clients portfolio of services throughout the full project lifecycle. The Consulting Practice specialises in business analysis, business change management, business optimisation, business process outsourcing and shared services, enterprise resource planning and programme and project management. It works closely with all parts of the UK business and internationally.
My client requires an experienced Managing Consultant to join its growing Business Intelligence (BI) consulting team.
The team provides Management Consulting services in respect of Business Intelligence (BI) and the wider Information Management Lifecycle . With significant exposure to customers, candidates will be comfortable working at CxO level to identify business issues and priorities and be able to build long term relationships at a senior level.
With a proven track record of generating consulting revenues (from existing and new clients), candidates will establish a network of effective client relationships across the business.
A team player, the Managing Consultant will develop and maintain the support of vertical account teams and have the presence required to gain respect and confidence at board level.
The positions are client-facing roles that will engage at all levels of the business. Typical customers will be finance directors, senior managers and other influential staff. Technical and personal credibility are an absolute requirement.
Success for my client is about strong delivery credibility. Therefore a rigorous and pragmatic approach with an ability to shape and challenge the business agenda is required.
• Engagement management skills and commercial awareness including ITT, RFP and bid management
• Demonstrable track record of business consulting and project delivery in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing across multiple projects with a demonstrable mix of experience in both technical and business consulting.
• Ability to articulate business and technical issues related to Business Intelligence
• Knowledge of a number of key technologies and tools within the BI/DW sector e.g. Business Objects, Cognos, Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, Ab-Initio, Informatica, Datastage, SAP BW, B.O. Data Integrator, PL/SQL & TSQL to name a few.
• Experience of working in a number of sectors
• Success in a client-facing role with experience gained in project delivery either at board level/one level below or into Customer project teams – Program Manager or Project Manager. This will include demonstrable ability to cope with political issues and sensitivities.
• Willingness and ability to contribute to proposition development within their areas of skill.
